This top-down sock in four sizes (XS/S/M/L) is knit in an illusion texture from cuff to toe that is universally appealing and works very well with variegated colorways. Perfect for the sock knitter who likes to stash away a few finished pair for gifting, the pattern works up quickly, makes great TV knitting, and is quite portable as well. A flap heel with short row shaping creates a snug, cushioned cup for the heel, while the leg has a more relaxed fit—great for those with circulation issues. With its simple knit/purl patterning and classic construction, this design is a good choice for new sock knitters.
