Stone Soup Fingering, Better Breakfast Fingering, Shetlandia Sport, Jacob's Dream Sport, or any lofty fingering yarn that knits to pattern gauge. Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size, drape, and yardage requirement.

Finished Size:

36(40, 44, 48, 52, 56, 60, 64, 68) inches / 91.5(101.5, 111.5, 122, 132, 142, 152.5, 162.5, 172.5) cm in circumference around chest (blocked) to fit with 4 to 6 inches / 10 to 15 cm of ease

Yarn Requirements:

1325(1475, 1625, 1750, 1925, 2050, 2200, 2350, 2525) yards / 1225(1350, 1475, 1600, 1750, 1875, 2025, 2150, 2300) meters

Buttons: 

9(7) buttons for crew neck(v-neck) cardigan, that are .625 inch / 1.5 cm in diameter

Gauge:

24 sts and 36 rows = 4 inches / 10 cm in stockinette on larger needles (washed and dried flat)

Needles:
size 5US(3.75 mm) or size to obtain correct gauge
size 3US(3.25 mm) for ribbed hems and neck trim (or .5 mm smaller than gauge needle)
