An unusual cable is the inspiration for this deeply textured cowl in three sizes (S/M/L), giving it the appearance of multiple rope chains. The resulting fabric is bold and modern, adding a fresh accent to your outerwear look. The project knits up quickly in worsted weight yarn, starting with a provisional cast on and grafted end to end to complete. The easily memorized pattern makes for terrific TV or spectator knitting—a good traveling project. Along with the coordinating Chain of Fools hat and Cuffed Links mittens, this cowl will be sure to attract the right kind of attention on slopes or sidewalks.
