A semi-sheer scarf that derives its deco look from vertical lace panels of leaf-and-trellis. With lace work on right-side rows only, and wrong side rows all in purl, this makes a great beginning lace knitting project, or a quick gift knit.
Suggested Yarns:
Kent Lace, Modern Deco Lace, Better Breakfast Fingering, Stone Soup Fingering, Shetlandia Fingering, Jacob Fingering, or any springy, laceweight yarn which has approximately 400 yards per 2 ounces
Substituting yarn and/or needles will produce a variation in overall scarf size.
Finished Size:
11 inches W x 48 inches L (stretched and blocked)
Yarn Requirements:
approximately 375 yards
Gauge:
28 sts and 40 rows = 4 inches in stockinette (unblocked; fabric will be relaxed)
Needles:
size US2.5 (3.00 mm) or size to obtain correct gauge
