This soft, lightweight triangle shawl in three sizes (petite, medium, tall) features a simple allover lace stitch throughout the body with a deep border of sinuous leaf pattern. Together these motifs evoke the petal and leaf structures of hydrangeas, a June flower mentioned in the novel Mrs. Dalloway. The shawl is worked from neck to hem with pretty pointelle edging along the top shoulders that is worked as you go. Could also be knit in fingering weight by adjusting needle size to 5 or 6, as needed.

Shetlandia Fingering, Jacob Fingering, Yak + Silk, Modern Deco Lace, Cormo Lace, Kent Lace, or any laceweight yarn with 400- 475 yds per 50 grams. Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in shawl size.
