Happy Dog Cap Kit in Kent DK

Knit a warm, handsome cap in five sizes (XS/S/M/L/XL) in luscious Kent DK yarn that any member of the family will love. The Happy Dog Cap is just what’s needed for dog walking, snow sports, and other cold weather adventures, with a wide folded brim and rich cable texture.

Kent DK is our favorite Happy Dog yarn choice, offering crisp stitch definition, soft springy fabric, and a snug fit. The brim and body lengths of this cap are easily adjusted to create a slouchy style.

Kit is available in two sizes (see size information below):
Small for cap sizes XS, S, and M (1 4oz skein)
Large for cap sizes L and XL (one 4 oz skein and one 2 oz skein)

Finished cap size: 
12.5(14, 15.5, 17, 18.5) inches in brim circumference (unstretched), stretches to fit heads measuring up to 19.5(21, 22.5, 24, 26) inches around

Yarn Requirement: 190(225, 270, 310, 360) yards

Gauge: 
22 sts and 32 rows = 4 inches in stockinette on larger needle (knit flat; unblocked)
32 sts and 30 rows = 4 inches in cable pattern on larger needle (washed fabric; unstretched)

Needles:
size 5US (3.75 mm) 16-inch circular needle and DPNs (or size to obtain correct gauge)
size 3US (3.25 mm) 16-inch circular needle for brim (or .5 mm smaller than gauge needle)
