Finn Dandy 3-ply Sport, Targhee Tango Sport, Jacob's Dream Sport, Shetlandia Sport, Kent DK, Stone Soup DK, Better Breakfast DK, Chebris Sport, or any heavy sport/DK yarn that knits to pattern gauge

Finished Size:
13(15.5, 18, 20.5, 23, 25.5) inches around brim to fit heads measuring up to 17(19.5, 22, 24.5, 29.5) around

Yardage for XXS(XS, S, M, L, XL): 100(135, 175, 215, 255, 305) yards

Gauge:
21 sts and 32 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch on gauge needle (knit flat, washed and air-dried)
24 sts and 32 rnds = 4 inches in twist-stitch pattern on gauge needle (knit in the round, washed and blocked)

Needles:
size 7US(4.5 mm) circular needles or DPNs (or size to obtain correct gauge)
size 5US(3.75 mm) circular needles for brim (or .75 mm smaller than gauge needle)
Note: cap may be knit on DPNs, two circular needles or a combination of DPNs and a single circular needle
