What could be more versatile outerwear for late-summer evenings than a wide lace scarf or stole? This pretty rectangle is strung with leaf motifs that are highlighted all around in yarnovers, like moonlight peeking between garden vines. The piece is worked in two parts from hem to center back, then grafted together to finish (it may be also be worked in one piece for a somewhat asymmetrical result). With incorporated side edgings and an easily-learned motif, this project makes a great traveling companion for that end of summer trip.
Shown here in Shetlandia Fingering, color Emsket.
