Finished Size: 
14(17.5, 21) inches in brim circumference (unstretched) to fits heads measuring up to 20(23.5, 27) inches around
Note: sizing may be adjusted by using needles one size up (looser fit) or down (tighter fit)

Yarn Requirements: 
140(200, 230) yards
Note: double brim will require approximately 50 yards extra

Gauge: 
26 sts and 28 rows = 4 inches in cable pattern on larger needles (washed and air-dried)
18 sts and 28 rows = 4 inches in stockinette on larger needles (washed and air-dried)

Needles: 
size 7US (4.5 mm) 16-inch circular needle or size to obtain correct gauge; DPNs or second circular needle for top shaping
size 4US (3.5 mm) 16-inch circular needle for brim (or 1.0 mm smaller than gauge needle)
Note: cap may be worked entirely on two circular needles or on DPNS as desired
