A rectangle stole in two sizes featuring lace patterns that evoke the magical textures and colorful highlights of the raven’s cloak. Shawl is worked from center back to hem, with a small edging incorporated at the selvedges, and an applied (knitted on) edging to finish the hem.

Modern Deco Lace, Better Breakfast FingeringStone Soup Fingering, Shetlandia FingeringJacob Fingering, Finn Dandy 3-ply Sport, Yak + Silk Lace, Kent Lace, or any fingering weight yarn which has 100-125 yards per ounce. Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size, drape, and yardage requirement.

Finished Size:

Length (blocked) = 74(84) inches; Width (blocked) = 19(23.5) inches

Yarn Requirements:

850(1200) yards of fingering weight yarn that has approximately 100-125 yards per ounce

Gauge:

20 sts and 30 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch (unblocked)

Needles:

size 5US (3.75mm) 24” circular needle, or size to obtain correct gauge
size 4US (3.5 mm) 24” circular needle for edging
