Confection Sport, Better Breakfast DK, Stone Soup DK, or Kent DK, or any springy sport/DK yarn that knits to pattern gauge. Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size and drape.

Yarn Requirements: 

480(1000) yards total; 120(250) yards in each of four shade. 

Gauge: 

17 sts and 24 rows = 4 inches in stockinette (unwashed; unblocked)

15 sts and 30 rows = 4 inches in pattern stitch (washed and dried flat) 

Needles: 
size 9US (5.5 mm) 32-inch circular needles (or size to obtain correct gauge)
